BREAKING: Gatwick Airport Closed Due To Drone

Reports of a drone close to the Runway at London’s Gatwick Airport have been reported and the runway has been closed.

ALL inbound and outbound flights have been stopped. Inbound and currently holding south of the airport.

Flights are now being diverted to Birmingham, Luton and Manchester airport. The inconvenience and cost caused by these reckless actions are unforgivable.

Legally, drones cannot be flown within 1km of any airport within the UK as they have the potential to cause a major incident or even an accident as we are currently witnessing. The newer drones feature the technology telling the pilot the no fly zones however this can be over ridden.

What do you think should be done about drone laws? Let us know in the comments…
